— - Provide part and tooling cost estimates for new parts
— - Review and approve tooling designs by suppliers prior to build
— - Review first shots, critique tool, and verify tool meets expectations
— - Debug tooling in production environment for internal and external products
— - Communicate with tooling suppliers concerning tool conditions
— - Handle all tool repair issues with tooling suppliers
— - Will be involved with process development and procurement of manufacturing equipment for new products as needed
— - Will act as liaison between Design and Manufacturing
— - Solicit quotations, qualify suppliers, and select equipment vendors

— This is NOT a position based in a plant.It is in a small group of engineers in a technical center who support manufacturing at the plant level across the US and Mexico.It reports to the Manager, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.
